Devon Wilke Submits For FAA National TV Commercial

Playa Del Rey, CA - With FAA Members invited to submit three of their photographs for consideration in the FAA National TV Commercial Contest, Lorraine Devon Wilke has chosen three of her most popular shots out of her galleries of 650+.
Entries must accrue at least 250 votes from site visitors and other members in order to advance to the next level of juried voting. The jury currently consists of independent photographer, John Edward Faulkner, Craig Mathew of Mathew Imaging, Bob Riha of USA Today and FAA Staff. New jurors will be added throughout the month of May.
FAA announced that "Five winners will be chosen to appear in our next FAA TV commercial which is scheduled to begin airing in July 2012. The commercial will air nationwide throughout the United States and is guaranteed to reach a minimum of 10 million viewers during the month of July."

This capture of a knight and his horse, both in intricate, very detailed armor, was shot at the Armory Room in the Palacio Real in Madrid, Spain, a repository for ancient and historical military pieces. First Place Win In LESS IS MORE Facebook FAA Social Media Contest

Playa Del Rey, CA - Lorraine Devon Wilke's photograph, "Alone On the Deep Blue Sea," was chosen as the First Place Winner in the "Less Is More" Facebook/Fine Art America Social Media Contest which was adjudicated early today.
The theme mandate was "an image that is beautiful in its simplicity" and Devon Wilke's serene capture of a lone kayaker sliding by on an impossibly still blue sea off Orcas Island in Washington State, embodied the theme exquisitely, as her win confirms.
This particular contest is one of the special Fine Art America contests conducted in collaboration with Facebook; one that comes with cash prizes in the form of FAA gift certificates.

Uptick In Sales Of Lorraine Devon Wilke Photographs

Playa Del Rey, CA - A relative newcomer to the Fine Art America site, photographer Lorraine Devon Wilke has nonetheless seen an uptick in sales of late, starting with a series of greeting card purchases, the sale of one of her more popular pieces (pictured here), "Tunnel View Framed," as a framed and matted print, and a larger framed print of "Last Train Track Out" (pictured in press release above).
The stunning "Tunnel View Framed" is described as follows: "Framed by the pine trees in the foreground, this most-photographed view encompasses the Yosemite Valley and Bridalveil Falls seen from the distant spot called the Tunnel View."
"Last Train Track Out" depicts the following: "in the abandoned train yard of Fort Bragg, California, an old train track stretches long and empty towards town."
